A part of me has always wanted to just get wild and fill up rooms with clever clutter. Trinkets and do-hickies and thinga-ma-bobs just hanging out all over the place.... But still maintaining the sense that they are "meant to be where they've been placed".
However, another part of me, let's just go ahead and call this part "Ray", would never let the never-ending supply of knick-knacks fly. Which I'm completely o.k. with. Without his level-headedness, I could end up being a real hit on that "Hoarders" show. (no offense to anyone who has appeared on "Hoarders")
Below are some examples of "Clever clutter". Love these spaces, and love me some STUFF!

Come to think of it, maybe it wouldn't be an issue at all if I cluttered up our apartment with good records and pretty vintage glass bottles. But my clutter specialty seems to be clothes, clothes, and more clothes. Ah well. Who wants some clothes? : )
So, what do you guys think? Is clever clutter just too much stuff? Or just right?
XO.
Tess.
P.S. Sorry for the lack of blogdom as of late.
P.P.S. This beauty of a dress will be up in the Tessaboo Vintage etsy shop later this evening, along with a number of adorable items that have been posted over the past few weeks. Sooo..shop 'til you drop!
I love the bottles! Blue glass = pretties. I also love how the polaroid wall works so well because it is framed by the white carpet and white ceiling. Lovely.

ohhhhh I would love to live in each one of those! It's things like this that make me think I should grow up to be the single crazy cat lady so I can live in my clutter while my love lives somewhere else in minimalism! haha :)

I love clever clutter! It is so stunning to look at in a photograph. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I'm a neat freak, so it's impossible for me to live with lots of clutter.

Oh, how I love the idea of clever clutter, with a cutesy shabby chic twist. But I could only live in it for a few days before going out of my Type-A mind and bagging everything for Goodwill.
Sigh.

I love this post! such amazing photos. I am always trying to convince people that there is an 'organized chaos' thing going on in my apartment, but.. well..
